Day 1 : Esna – el Hegz Island :
Leaving Luxor behind 60 KM to Esna. We sail to El Hegz Island, a small island in the north of Edfu. During the trip (4 to 5 hours of sailing on the Nile), lunch will be served and guests can enjoy the views. After arrival at El Hegz Island, dinner will be served on board. Overnight on board.
Day 2 : Edfu Temple – Fawaza Island :
While we sail to El Kab, you can enjoy breakfast on the deck at your leisure. After visiting el Kab’s temple, we will continue on to Edfu (about five hours). After lunch, we will visit the Edfu temple, one of the largest and most intact monuments in Egypt. The entrance to the temple is guarded by two beautiful granite statues of the falcon god. After visiting the temple, we will have time to explore the bazaar to barter for souvenirs, spices or perfumes. We will then set sail to Fawaza Island (1 hour). Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3 : Gabal el silsilah :
We set sail early to Gebel el Silsila to visit the temple. We then sail four to five hours to Meneha Island. Dinner will be served on the upper deck of the boat, in front of the illuminated temple, with music to add to the atmosphere. Overnight on board.
Day 4 : Kom Ombo, Daraw, and Kopania :
Take your breakfast at your leisure as we sail on to Kom Ombo (1.5 hours). As we sail, listen to the sound of the water buffalo wading in the shallow water, or admire the variety of bird life on the river. Visit the Greco Roman Temple at Kom Ombo, built symmetrically with two entrances, two halls and two sanctuaries dedicated to Horus the elder and crocodile god Sobek. Lunch will be served as we head to Daraw, where we will visit the animal and vegetables market (El Souk), famous for its camel market. We will then sail to the small island of Kopania (5 hours), where we will enjoy dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5 : Aswan :
Enjoy the privilege and luxury of days gone by as we sail to Aswan, the gateway to Nubia and Sudan. The trip takes about three hours, during which we will breakfast. After arriving around 10 am, we will visit the High Dam, the Temple of Philae, the unfinished obelisk, and the granite quarries of the souk of Aswan. Upon returning to the ship, we will enjoy a farewell dinner with Arabic and oriental music. Overnight on board.
Day 6 : Aswan Final Departure :
After breakfast, we will disembark about 10 am in Aswan, where you will continue on to your other destinations.
